About the Belle of the Ball Beading Tutorial
This tutorial is made up of 5 sections :
- Part 1 – Introduction and list of beads and supplies
- Part 2 – Beading the pendant
- Part 3 – Making the necklace
- Part 4 – Joining the pendant to the necklace
- Part 5 – Knotting the threads
The beading on the pendant secures the rivoli in place. It uses a combination of pip beads, twin beads, candy beads, seed beads, and faceted beads. These create a decorative beaded bezel. The pendant is then added to the easy double layered choker necklace so that it is the dramatic focal point of the piece.
This pattern assumes that you have a basic knowledge of bead weaving. It also assumes knowledge of bead jewellery making however, every step is covered in detail.

10g Preciosa Size 11 Haematite seed beads (E)
10g Preciosa Size 11 Galvanised silver seed beads (F)
4x 6mm Preciosa Clear Fire Polish AB faceted round beads (G)
12mm Preciosa crystal Rivoli
You will also need a beading needle and thread, flat nose pliers, jump rings, a clasp, crimp beads, crimp covers and flexible beading wire.
