I always feel guilty when I write a post about a pattern that I have made to sell but here I am with a post about my Peyote Pumpkin Bracelet Pattern. I have been working on this one for a good few weeks but as ever, I am always a little late when it comes to finishing off and posting them. I did fear at one point that Halloween would be over before I got around to listing it on my Etsy shop!
About The Pumpkin PDF Pattern
This pumpkin bracelet is based off the peyote pumpkin tutorial that I shared on here and YouTube a few years ago. I loved the cute little pumpkin shape and wanted to incorporate it into a longer beaded piece. With that pattern as my jumping off point, I designed a pattern with a pumpkin design running through the centre of the bracelet with pumpkins popping in on either side. I love that the pumpkins sneaking in are breaking in through the metallic bronze border.
If you are familiar with how to do peyote stitch then this is an easy pattern to follow. You will also need to be comfortable with adding new threads mid project. I applaud anyone who can bead with long lengths of thread without getting it all knotted accidentally!
As with my previous peyote bead pattern (a rather lovey leopard print bracelet pattern), this pattern is designed to repeat so if you want a longer bracelet, bookmark etc then you simply head back to the beginning of the pattern. As rows 1 and 2 are combined in the first instance, I have detailed in the bead instructions what rows 1 and 2 are for the repeat.

Beads and Supplies
For this pattern you will need just a few bead weaving and jewellery making supplies along with some Delica beads. I have used –
- PDF Peyote Pumpkin Bracelet Pdf Pattern
- Delica size 11 Black Opaque
- Delica size 11 Transparent Metallic Rose Gold
- Delica size 11 Dyed Opaque Squash
- Delica size 11 Opaque Pea Green
- Delica size 11 Purple Iris
- A beading needle
- Beading thread (I used Miyuki in Gold)
- Gold plated jump rings
- A gold plated clasp
I originally started the project with a much lighter purple bead but there just wasn’t enough contrast between the orange and green of the pumpkins and the background purple. The Purple Iris Delica beads add that hint of dark purple but the also have a lovely shine to them. I think they just suit the dark Halloween vibe perfectly.

Peyote Pumpkin Bracelet Video
I do try to record little snippets of me beading my pieces so you can see it in a video as well as photo. For this short video I focused on beading one of the main pumpkins.
If I have got you in the mood for some Halloween crafting but this is not the project for you then do check out my other Halloween inspired tutorials.
