I have been busy making another Christmas beading pattern for my Etsy shop. This time it is for this super cute (I know I designed it so I am biased but also, it really is very cute) Reindeer with Holly Peyote Triangle. I designed this after the Holly peyote triangle tutorial that I posted yesterday. I loved how the holly looked and how good the green and red beads looked together so I decided to design another pattern that built on it. The beaded reindeer are just the most perfect addition to the holly.
The holly peyote triangle tutorial is free so if you are relatively new to beaded or would like a quick refresh on how to make peyote triangles then do check that project out first before buying the reindeer with holly peyote triangle pattern.
I will share some basic information about this pattern and a few photos of the finished triangle first. There is also a quick YouTube short video at the bottom of this post if you would like to see some of the process of it being made.

Beads and Supplies
I have chosen a white background for this pattern so that those reindeer faces and holly really stand out. I felt that this would be the best option for a tree decoration (that is how I am choosing to use it) as it allows for the pattern to stand out against all the other decorations on my tree.
I have listed the colours I have used in the pattern but you will essentially need white and black size 11 Delica beads, silver lined red as I do believe his nose should sparkle, a gold, two different shades of green (possibly with different finishes ie, silver lined and opaque) and a mid toned brown.
I have used a metallic brown bead for the reindeer but an opaque mid toned bead would work just as well I think.
You will also need a needle and thread and, if you wish to hang it up, a gold jump ring and some ribbon.

About the Reindeer with Holly Peyote Triangle Pattern
You will need to have a basic understanding of how to make peyote triangles and how to read bead patterns. You will also need to know how to add more thread to your bead work and how to knot and finish the threads.
The finished beaded triangle is just over 2.5″ (6.5cm) along each side.
The comprehensive PDF pattern will provide you with the :
- Delica bead list (size 11)
- Bead count
- Basic instructions (such as thread length) with a video link on how to make peyote triangles
- Diagram with symbols
- Word chart

My only wish with this beading pattern is that I had time to make more as a little series of them would be absolutely adorable but maybe that is a plan for next year.
I will leave you here with a quick video of me making it, a close up of the reindeer’s face just to remind you exactly how cute he is and a gentle reminder that you can find the Reindeer with Holly Peyote Pattern in my Etsy shop!

Happy Christmas Beading,
