Snowflake Peyote Bracelet Pattern

Two photos of a peyote stitch bracelet with a snowflake design

This is the last of the Christmas beading patterns that I have been working on. It is an odd count peyote stitch bracelet with a snowflake design.

I had so many ideas this Christmas for beading projects and tutorials but clearly too many given the time I had. I am so pleased that I got to finish this one before Christmas though. I love the how the snowflake design worked out against the dark blue/grey beads.

This snowflake peyote pattern is available in my Etsy shop and would make a lovely pattern to work on over the whole festive period.

About The Snowflake Peyote Bracelet

This is an odd count peyote pattern which will make a 7″ beaded piece ( approx. 7.5″ once the clasp has been added). This pattern, like my other peyote stitch bracelet designs, repeats so if you wish to make a longer beaded section you simply go back to the beginning and start again. This is all detailed in the instruction part of the pattern.

The beading is about 1/2″ wide so it is still a slim bracelet despite all the patterning on it.

The pdf pattern includes –

  • Delica bead list (size 11)
  • Bead count
  • Beading Introduction / Basic Instructions
  • Diagram
  • Word chart

You will need to know how to do peyote stitch, how to add more thread to your bead work and how to tie knots in your thread.

Colour Choice

I have used very muted tones for this bracelet. My two previous patterns on Etsy, the reindeer with holly peyote triangle and Nutcracker, used vibrant colours of beads so I enjoyed designing this one with a much softer colour palette. The soft matte silver beads sit alongside shiny silver Delica forming a lovely two tone effect in the snowflakes. In order to allow the snowflakes to stand out, I have set them against this gorgeous dark blue/grey bead. The overall effect is both delicate and sophisticated (in my opinion!)

If you wish for a bolder look to your bracelet, you could make it with a brighter blue with white and silver snowflakes, or go with all shades of blue to give a frosty look. This would also look great if made with non traditional snowflake colours – shades of purple and pink with a hint of sparkle would look lovely.

I would just like to wish you all a lovely Christmas and thank you all for reading, liking, commenting etc It is all very much appreciated. I have so many plans in the new year for both YouTube/Blog tutorials as well as Etsy patterns for much larger projects so do follow along if you would like to see more.

Thanks for reading
