Heart With Rays Peyote Triangle Pattern

A Pinterest pin for a peyote triangle with a hearts and rays pattern

It has only taken me a year (!) but I have just got to sharing this Valentine’s inspired heart peyote triangle pattern with you. I listed the pdf pattern in my Etsy shop last year but I never got around to sharing it on here.

The peyote triangle pattern features three red hearts with darker red hearts in their centre. There a rays coming from each of the large hearts, adding extra interest to the triangle pattern.

I love designing and making peyote triangles as I view each one as a mini piece of art. I have a lot of fun trying to fill the space with fun or cute designs. I have a mini Christmas tree out, all year round, and I hang my various beaded projects on it, such as my peyote triangles. This one adds a bold little statement to my tree due to it’s bold heart design and highly contrasting colour palette.

Beads and Supplies

I have listed all the bead colours used in the bead pattern but essentially you only need three bead colours that have a high contrast so that the pattern can be seen clearly. – A mid/ light red, a darker red and a cream/ beige.

The darkest red is used for the base colour of the triangle as well as being used inside the focal lighter red heart. The lighter red is used to the main feature, the focal hearts and the rays are in a light silver/cream colour to outline the main hearts and to draw the eye to them.

You will obviously need a beading needle and thread too.

If the red theme is a little too romantic then mix it up with blues or purples. I design these patterns so that people can enjoy them so switch up those colours if they suit you better!
