If you missed my post last week I am attempting to keep up with the 52 week illustration challenge on Facebook.
This weeks word prompt was ‘feathered animals’. It seems I am still stuck a little on the whimsy of last week (possibly ‘whimsy’ is just my style!) and opted for fanciful birds decorating a girls head. Only problem with that is that I had to draw a face – not my strongest subject but then again this is a challenge for myself to improve my skills.
Watercolour and colour pencil.
The colour pencil bought out the texture of the paper a little too much. The paper is quite cheap too so that may be part of the problem.
Hey ho, onto next week. All things Australian…………… As of yet I have no ideas!
