I promise myself at the start of every new year that I will get better at keeping my blog up to date. Yet, here I am with a beading pattern that I listed on Etsy months ago. I do in fact have two new peyote triangle patterns on Etsy. This little fish one was inspired by my love of summer holidays at the seaside. Given the glorious weather we currently have, I thought I would share it today.
This peyote triangle fish pattern shows three little fish swimming among the seaweed. If you look carefully you will see three little air bubbles coming from each little fish. You could make your fish any colour you like but I love this orange and white combination as it means those fish stand out.

Tools and Supplies
To make this peyote triangle you will need –
Delica beads in –
- Black, Opaque (DB10)
- B 39 White, Opaque (DB200)
- C 90 Squash Orange, Opaque (DB651)
- D 201 Emerald Green, Transparent (DB767)
- E 282 Sparkling Aqua Blue, Transparent (DB920)
- F 9 Crystal (DB051
- Beading thread
- A beading needle
- The ‘Fish in the Sea’ peyote triangle pattern
This bead colours in this pattern could easily be substituted for beads you already have in your stash. Just make sure that what ever bead colours you chose have a high contrast so that all elements stand out. The fish especially need a bright and vibrant colour of bead.
How To Make A Peyote Triangle
If you are new to peyote triangles you can check out this beginner guide to making peyote triangles. That post includes a full photo step by step guide and a YouTube video. The principles are the same for this peyote triangle but you obviously need to pick the beads up in the order specified in the beading pattern.

This pattern is a quick and fun made but perfect for beaders who love fish and all things ocean inspired. If you are an experienced bead weaver and are looking for a more challenging coastal inspired project then check out my Peyote Star pattern with Coastline Design on Etsy. You can read more about this seaside inspired peyote star pattern here.
If you buy this beading pattern from Etsy you will receive it as an immediate pdf pattern for you to download. No waiting for it to arrive and checking the post – you can get beading straight away!
