A few weeks ago I succumbed (Amazon again – 00ps) to a Gelli Printing block. I’ve seen YouTube videos about it and was intrigued but always put off by the price of the block. A quiet moment at the beginning of this week I decided that it was time to take it out the packet and have a go. Here are some of the papers I made:
I had so much fun playing with hand drawn stencils and using cotton buds to make dots but the main aim was having a new technique to put onto my cards so:
I love that star print! I also had a go at hand lettering them all (dare I suggest its calligraphy? Amateur style!). Again, all with hand drawn stencils and for the feather card I added gold embossing to the middle of each one.
I had so much fun with this and found myself today wandering around a craft store looking for more paint……..

I am trying to doodle but, I’m not on Instagram. I’m just doing it for the month of June. I’m trying to give this blog a personality, it looks like I’m just all over the place with what I do in life, and I am. So, maybe a challenge a month will make it look better. I’m doing the salad everyday, it’s really fun, my kids are getting into it with me.
Salad every day sounds good 😃 I often think that my blog may be a little boring as I tend to show similar things each time where as yours has plenty of variety. A challenge a month sounds fun and, well, challenging!

Haha..that’s how I felt I was before having a blog..nosy! I love to go peek into other’s worlds & see what they are doing too. I have decided to keep it a messy little spot, it’s just me, a little bit of this & that wrapped around my silliness. I guess I really wanted it to look like it was polished but, I will never be that so I’m keeping it true! I love to copy what others do on their blogs just to see if I can do it. So if that makes me look like a copy cat then I’m following so many other people too. It all comes back too…don’t worry what others think, be true to you! 🙂 The struggles we have being a women..giggle.

Thunder, lightening and rain here now. I knew the sun wouldn’t last!
I had an earthquake at 1 am. My house popped, ground moved like I was sliding, all is good nothing fell out of the cupboards. I usually don’t feel them but, this one lasted longer.
Gosh – we don’t get earthquakes really so I can only imagine what that must be like. Glad nothing was damaged. Do you get them a lot? Is is something you get used to?
Earthquakes come and go. Little ones happen a lot, that is why we/I don’t feel them. This one started 200 miles away but, it was felt in more area’s due to the size.
They looks great! I’m intrigued…and predicting a possibly purchase of more crafting tools in my future xD
Thanks 🙂 I would highly recommend a Gelliplate. I love patterned paper but there is nothing like creating your own to personalise a card etc, what’s more, it really is so much fun!
It’s just fun, and quite therapeutic sometimes to take the time and make your own things, isn’t it.
Yes. It’s just so relaxing to take the time to make something from scratch and then have something to show for it at the end. I also enjoy having inky, painty hands so that may have something to do with it 😉
