Well, I actually managed to get a picture drawn and painted on time for this weeks illustration challenge. This weeks theme was perspective. It made me think of how my little boy used to sit on his knees and press his head to the floor so he could watch the wheels on his toy cars as they drove around the carpet. He could spend hours doing this.
His favourite colours are red, blue and green hence the colour scheme in this and he actually had a favourite pair of red and white stripy socks. He is still small and cute but would rather attack me now with potions and diamond pickaxes (thanks Minecraft) than play quiet games with his cars!
Watercolour and pencil.

Hannah! Your illustrations are so wonderful! Your reflection of your son and the memories! xxx
Thank you so much Ruthie. This picture will always remind me of him π Hxx
Aww Hannah this is beautiful, and I so love that it includes a part of your family, for it adds a warmth to the whole illustration and I can feel the heartbeat going on there.
A really GREAT piece of artwork and the colouring is perfection. Well done my talented friend.

Thank you so much. I was really pleased to get the position so right and now every time I look at the picture it will be my monkey and not a random drawing! Hope you are having a good weekend. Hxx
I remember seeing this when you posted it on 52WIC and have just came across it here on your blog.
My son is at this stage of lying on the floor watching his cars too.
Lovely, beautiful choice of colours.
Thank you so much. I loved watching my son play like that with his cars. He is only 6 now but his play has changed so much. Hannah x
