I have been feeling inspired by the rather hot weather that we have been having and wanted to design a beading pattern to reflect that. I love a fun, colourful bracelet as they are easy to wear and add a lovely pattern or colour to even the most boring of outfits. I decided on this vivid yellow lemon pattern with dainty white flowers set against a bright blue sky background.
This pdf lemon bracelet pattern in available in my Etsy shop so I will just briefly chat about it, share a few pictures of it as well as share the YouTube short video I made whilst I was beading it.
About The Lemon Peyote Bracelet Pattern
This is an odd count peyote pattern. I have a free beginners guide to peyote covering what that means as well as showing how to bead odd and even count peyote. The beading features an alternating lemon pattern complete with green leaves and little white flowers with soft yellow centres.
There are seven Delica bead colours in total. The beading pattern obviously shares exactly the bead colours that I chose but basically there are two yellows (a bright one and a very soft yellow for the flower centres), white for the flower petals, two distinct greens for the leaves, a transparent bead for the ‘glimmer’ on the lemons to show where they are catching the light and a bright blue to contrast against it all.
Most of the beads have an opaque finish with the exception of the clear ‘shine’ on the lemons, which have an AB finish and the pale yellow flower centres have a pearl finish. These beads catch the light when the bracelet moves adding a lovely contrast the heavier opaque finishes.

This peyote lemon pattern includes a word chart to make a length of bead work at just over 6″ long (15.6cm). Once the bracelet is finished with a clasp and jump rings the finished bracelet will be about 6.75″ long (17cm). If a shorter bracelet is required then measure the beading as you go and allow length for the clasp.
This pattern is designed so that it can be repeated so if you require a longer length of beading then you can return to the start of the beading chart and bead rows 1 and 2 separately. Further information on this is included in the ‘Beading Instructions’ section.
The finished bracelet is just under 1/2″ wide (1cm).
You will need to understand how to do odd count peyote stitch, how to read a pattern and how to add more thread to your work as well as how to finish the bead work off. You can find all this information in my tutorial ‘Peyote for Beginners – A Comprehensive Video Tutorial‘.
