The rain has stopped briefly so I thought I would try to entice the sun out by showing you the new Fimo jewellery I have made.
I have used a base of white clay and put strips of translucent orange and blue alongside silver foil on white clay. I used myย serrated blade to get the zig zag pattern. The jewellery is finished with Fimo gloss varnish and silver jewellery findings.
These were a bit of an experiment but I am so pleased with how they came out. I haven’t worked much with translucent clay before but the effect is absolutely lovely.
Hope it is sunny where ever you are ๐

Love the colours! And that first pair of earrings โค
Thank you. I’ve kept a pair of the earrings for myself ๐
I love your colour choices. Who would have thought it was clay??!
Thank you. I adore polymer clay and the translucent clay is so different – almost has a frosted glass finish.
Yes, I can see it now you mention it. Like sea glass, a little. Your work is fab.
Yes, sea glass is a perfect description. Thank you ๐
Love them all! Very nice ๐
Thank you Ruthie ๐
Beautiful!!! Such nice designs! ๐
Thank you ๐
Aw,these are Lovely! The colours make me think of sand and sea, and the silver reminds me of how the sunshine twinkles madly on the gently moving sea, making it look like a gazillion diamonds have been sprinkled across it.
Great choice of colours, and wonderful designs. Well done Ms. Artist Jewellery Designer! ~ Cobs. x
Ah Cobs, thank you – Artsist Jewellery Designer sounds an amazing title. Do I get letters after my name with that?!
I have just been playing with the idea you came up with and I think I have made what you suggested – watch this space for a blog post on them. I will be interested to hear what you think about them. Hannah x
Oooooooooo! Excited!
these are stunning! all my efforts with fimo have resulted in a marbled splat
Thank you so much Nicola ๐ Keep trying with the Fimo – it can be so frustrating when it goes wrong (believe me when I say I have many marbled splat moments!) but it’s so satisfying when it goes right.
