Doodling

My laptop seems in a better mood today and has let me access my backup photos (they automatically back up from my mobile) so I can show some of the doodles I have been doing as part of the 365 doodles with Johanna Fritz. This was bought to my attention by another blog (sorry, my linking thing doesn’t seem to want to work today – starting to think it may be me and not my laptop, ha ha) so I’m coming into it rather late as everyone else seems to be on doodle 325 already! You are given a word for each day in the month and draw on that theme. These are mine so far –

Hammock doodleTrampoline doodleShooting Star doodleSnorkelling doodleWorkspace doodleLollipop doodleRhino doodleYo-yo doodle

All drawn with a micron pen and painted in watercolour.

I decided along the way that it would also be a fun time to experiment with some lettering. I am always envious of people who can make normal words look so enticing with flourishes or decoration.

  1. These are so lovely ! The shooting star reminded my of an image in a nursery rhyme book we had in school 🙂

    1. Thank you but you must show yours – I would love to see them. You should see how amazing the ones on Instagram are. I dream that one day I’ll be able to draw like them.

  2. These are absolutely and totally charming. Snorkel boy is my favourite I think. But then I look at the yoyo bird, then the rhino…difficult to choose!

    1. Thank you so much – such a lovely comment and very flattering that you can’t choose a favourite. The trampoline, shooting star and yo-yo bird are my favourites so far but I still have the rest of June to go so who knows what will happen!
