Pretty pendants

Well I think they are really pretty. Whilst my daughter was at pre-school and my little boy napped I had a play with some embossing powder and an ice-cube tray. What do you think of the results?

The red one is simply clear embossing powder with red glitter embossing powder mixed in and the clear on is clear embossing powder with gilding flakes. I think they are just so fab (I’m a little biased seeing as I made them but I’m not usually one to think my own work is great so let me just run with this one πŸ™‚ )
I had a great afternoon. My sister joined me and gave all the necessary oohs and aahs as the powder melted. There is something just totally satisfying about watching it melt! She is a knitter (check out her Etsy page Millykins here http://www.etsy.com/shop/millykins?ref=search_shop_redirect for fab winter wear and I know for a fact that she will be adding more stock soon!) so we sat chatted, drank coffee and crafted. My idea of heaven πŸ™‚

  1. Just love those pendants… Are your ice trays metal? I know my heat gun will melt my plastic ice tray if I tried this! Lol

  2. These are really lovely! I think my favourite one is the clear with the gilding flakes suspended in it. The clear makes me think of a Heavenly sort of view of some description. The red is more of a statement piece – and it suggests a sort of lava which has come out of a volcano and you’ve captured it, and made it into this incredible pendant. It could be worn by a woman or a man.

Both are really fabulous. GREAT makes! ~ Cobs. x

    1. Thank you. I’ve been lacking in crafting inspiration recently but now I’m thinking I could revisit my embossing powder pendants. Thank you for taking the time to comment and for the inspiration πŸ™‚ Hannah x
