3 Santas coloured 3 ways

Well, I shall keep this short and sweet. I’ve not been crafting as much in the last few weeks as I was full of cold and feeling completely rubbish. As of this morning I couldn’t cope with the pain in my head any longer so saw my Doctor. She promptly diagnosed a sinus infection and gave me antibiotics. I’m so looking forward to the morning when I wake up and it doesn’t feel as if someone is standing on my head!

I decided a few weeks ago that I wanted to colour the same or similar image with my favourite colouring mediums (Promarkers, watercolour paints and Polychromos) to see how different they all looked. The stamps used were from the Craft UK Santa and Penguin Christmas set.

Promarker santa and penguin

Promarker colouring gives such a crisp, clean almost printedย look.

Watercolour Santa and Penguin

Watercolour paint gives a lovely soft finish. I used Sakura Koi field box watercolours.

Polychromo Santa and Penguin

The Polychromos pencils gave an almost vintage finish. I’m least comfortable with this medium – I need more practise but love the outcome.
