I have fallen a bit behind with the Illustration Challenge this week mainly because I decided to tidy/re-organise my craft space (more on that another day – it turned out to be a huge job!)
Week 4 theme was Ode to a favourite children’s book. I went between ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ by Eric Carle and Mog the Forgetful Car by Judith Kerr. I chose the latter as my son just adores Mog. Don’t get me wrong, I have read my fair share of The Very Hungry Caterpillar with my kids but there is something very endearing about Mog.
Watercolour pencils and colour pencils.
Just look at that little face!

I love the results, I think the suit the style perfectly! Such a cute cat.
Thank you. It did seem to work well for that picture. It is something that I’ll definitely try again. Hannah x
He’s so sweet! I love that expression; it’s me when I’m as a question at work when I’m off in my own little worlds
Ha ha. I love Mog.
