Inktober 2019 Day 2

Hello,

Well, I made it to day 2 of Inktober πŸ˜† Today’s prompt was ‘mindless’ and for me that meant drawing what I wanted and being a little repetitive with it. The repatition of drawing the same or similar over and over made the process of drawing mindless. Make sense? It does in my head.

I drew one feather and then built upon it. I kept the decoration simple and repetitive so my brain didn’t have to over think it.

A self indulgent close up of some of the detail as I was so pleased with how it turned out.

I must say I really rather like this one and if it wasn’t for Inktober not something I would necessarily have drawn.

For yesterday’s entry see my previous post (which I would link if I wasn’t on my phone writing this because WordPress on my laptop is being very odd!)

  1. Oooh! I really love this. I’m a sucker for repetitive designs, and I so completely understand the “mindless” connection. That’s when drawing — or inking — becomes almost blissful. And, you’re right in saying that Inktober pushes us into drawing things we wouldn’t ordinarily do. πŸ™‚

    1. Thank you. I was really happy with the finished drawing.

I find the app on my phone limiting but for days on my laptop I just couldn’t write a post without it jumping around so I couldn’t see the bit I was writing. Maybe the wordpress gods are telling me that I talk too much rubbish……!

      1. Nah. Computer issues are the bane of Domimique’s life too. We think Dropbox has something against her as well.
My issue with the WP ipad app is that I add pics to media but then can’t see them in the selection to add them to my post until days later! Can see them in the phone app though so I do the writing on the ipad then add pics with the phone😊
