Well, the weather has turned here and the heating is starting to come on so I have turned my attention to my favourite time of year – Christmas. I am such a big kid. I get as excited as the kids (maybe more?!). It’s not even about the presents but the sparkle and magic. Knowing that I can make lasting magical memories for my children to carry with them. I also love cold frosty weather and snuggling in warm pjs. I could go on but guessing you would rather see the card I’ve made!
Crafty stash used –
- Trimcraft Stamps – The Night Before Christmas
- Dovecraft/Trimcraft Christmas Basics sentiment stamps
- Promarkers
- Tim Holtz spritzer tool
- Tim Holtz stencils – Holly Bough and Bubble
- Sizzix/Basic Grey Bigz die – Holly and Berries #2
- Zig Wink Of Stella in clear
- Shrink plastic, twine, silver embossing powder
First I stamped and coloured the snowmen image. I drew a hill for them to stand on and cut around it all. I then used the same colour of ProMarkers that I had used on the snowman image to spritz through my stencils to create the back ground. I finished off with some light blue stamped snowflakes and silver embossed stars. The greeting was stamped and embossed in silver. I drew the speech bubble around it and cut out. I cut the shrink plastic with the holly and berries die, coloured with ProMarkers and shrunk. The card was all then stuck down and finished with twine and Wink Of Stella.
I’m not sure the photo shows just how much detail is in this card. I take all my photos on my phone which I recently upgraded and now I can’t seem to take a decent picture!
Fabulous Card! Love the shrinky holly & berries embellishment…. So clever 😉
Thanks. I’ve only just found your comment. Please don’t think I was being super rude by not replying!
No worries at all 😉
The snowmen are so cute! 🙂
I can see I will get a lot of use out of that stamp. They are so cute!
I love this card! Your narrative makes it sound like you whipped it out in no time, when I’m sure it took lots of thought and skill. x
Thank you much. Yes, it took me ages to make but try to keep my description short so as not to bore people! Ha ha.
