I feel as though I’ve redeemed myself after yesterday’s awful picture. Not that this is a masterpiece but I feel a lot happier with it.
The prompt was flowing so I have drawn long flowing hair. I have an ink brush pen – I love drawing hair with it.
I have added some grey promarker for shading. I was worried that doing black cross hatching on her face would make it look as though she had a beard!
Time to pick the kids up from school now – where do the days go?!

Like the shine in her eyes 🙂
Thank you. Took me a while to figure out how to make eyes look shiny 🙂
Cool, have any tips to share? 🙂
Little touches of white gel pen across the pupils and a shadow under the upper lash line 😃 Makes all the difference. Do you have a ‘follow’ button on your blog? I’ve had a quick look on my phone but can’t see it (only email sign up)
I think my plugin add-ons made it disappear 😦
Oh no! I’m just getting my kids fed so I’ll try to have a look on my laptop later 🙂
This is cool. Do you leave white space for the highlighted areas in her hair, or do you add white after colouring all of it black first?
Thank you. I left the white areas white. I’ve never found a white pen opaque enough to cover all that black ink.
Wow,that’s cool. I find it really hard to leave white gaps that look good
Close up it can look a bit odd but if I stand back it looks OK 😆
I agree, good white gaps are hard to do.
I don’t always manage it! 😆
