Slightly random title but the card is a little random! My younger sister had her birthday this week. She loves knitting. She loves koala bears. She loves her sleep. Put it all together and what do you get? Yes, a sleeping, knitting koala.

It breaks down the process of drawing into manageable shapes with some fun results. I knew the second I saw the Koala that I would have to draw it for my sister. I altered the koala a little and added branches, leaves, knitting needles and yarn. The picture was coloured in with my ProMarkers and the ‘Sister’ sentiment is from Docrafts/Papermania. She loved it and kept asking if I had really drawn it.
My little girl also drew a card for her Auntie inspired by the same book. Besides knitting and koalas she also loves foxes.
She too coloured with my ProMarkers. I was very impressed with the result. Still so many more animals to try (it’s a big book!) but it is a great way to spend some time with my little girl.
